The seventh annual Swashbucklers Ball is Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012 from 6:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.  This magical evening of fun is the signature fund-raising event for St. Mary’s Center and is held at The Seelbach’s Medallion Ballroom. The gala includes an elegant dinner, live music by Caribou, and dancing. Thanks to Donna and Jim Mudd who co-chair the festivities to support a much loved family member and her friends at St. Mary’s.

Attire for the evening is Pirate Finery and/or Party Attire.  Prizes are given for the Best Pirate Costumes for both our guests and our students.  We encourage you to create an imaginative costume and try to win our loot!

The Treasure Chest is the most exciting part of the party.  Guests receive a key with the purchase of a ticket to attend the Swashbucklers Ball.  Additional keys are available for purchase throughout the gala.The holder of the winning key will select an outstanding prize to take home.

In addition, all guests can participate in the Schooner Lagoon by purchasing access to one of our schooner boats.  You select a schooner from a pirate “fleet” sailing on a lagoon in the ballroom. Guests can then “loot its booty” and receive a gift.  There are also silent and live auctions to bid on as well. Our prizes and gifts are donated by generous area businesses and St. Mary students.  Art pieces created by the students are the night's favorite auction items.

Dinner, dancing, one treasure chest key, two drink tickets and Mardi Gras beads are offered for only $125.00 per person.  If you prefer to come for just the Pirate After Party (dance), tickets are $75 per pirate and include dancing, two drink tickets, one treasure chest key and free Mardi Gras beads .  All proceeds from the 2012 Swashbucklers Ball benefit St. Mary’s Center.
