Mission
St. Mary’s Center is a caring non-profit 501(c)(3) organization which serves people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Louisville community. Since 1993, St. Mary’s Center has consistently enhanced the lives of its students through its adult day training and athletics activities for all ages.
Through our day training program and athletic programs, St. Mary’s Center currently serves 153 participants and maintains a strong reputation of being one of Louisville’s most successful programs. St. Mary’s Center participates in the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s Supports for Community Living (SCL) program. |
St. Mary’s Center has a three fold mission:
1. To foster a positive self image and encourage greater independence and productivity among its students.
2. To provide opportunities for personal, educational and social growth through community activities and relationships. 3. To improve the quality of family life for its students through improved social skills.. St Mary’s Center has developed a program of activities and classes which are specifically designed for each client’s individual needs. These programs and activities include weekly field trips (while on hold during the pandemic, they are about to resume!), athletic training and competitions, team building, and health and nutrition. |
